These test sheets are a check to show you what your child knows, or more importantly what they do not know. In this case you can help them to master the areas in which they are unsure. As these are first tests they will primarily be oral as your child will not be old enough to write very much. The tests cover your child's ability in the following areas:- Literacy. Numeracy. Counting. Shapes. Colour. We also give you guidance on other areas of development such as, Personal and social development. Speaking and listening. Physical development. Observation. Creative development. These areas are also very important and underpin the curriculum taught in schools. Please note that in our Pre School Curriculum we include a full record of achievement which is more detailed than these tests as it takes place over the whole academic year and not just in one sitting.
