Learning to write by letter formation, is a direct follow up to Learning to write, Basics. We start off by telling you how to make writing fun. Remember children learn best through play, and this is how we approach the topic of learning how to form their letters. We give you the top thirteen tips here. We then tell you how to develop the correct posture for your child when they are writing. Correctly learnt at this age, means fewer back problems for them in the future.
We then tell you how to use the worksheets for each individual letter in the alphabet. We cover both lower and upper case. The techniques used to best form the letters are explained as are the family groups in which order they should be learnt. Songs and rhymes are also used to help the child learn their letters. Finally we have a record sheet which you can use to record the letters your child has successfully learnt. Everything is laid out in our normal style, which is child friendly and helps them to learn at their own pace. Good letter formation at this stage of their development will help all children do well at school.
